The Greenbrier State Park is found in the Appalachians, about 10 miles south of Hagerstown, MD. There are 165 camp sites for visitors to use, camplete with bath houses and hot water. Many different types of trees and wildlife thrive in this park, and are easily enjoyed from the park's trail system.

The Fort Frederick State Park is the site of a large stone fortification that has stood since the French and Indian War. Amenities include boat rental, camp fire programs, a camp store and cross country ski trails. Located in Big Pool, about 12 miles west of Hagerstown, MD.
